Glenn Rosenblum is back and will explore the Broadway musicals of the year he was born, 1959! With video clips, backstage gossip and songs at the piano with his guest, Alix Korey and his Special Guest Star Jackie Joseph, who starred in The Billy Barnes Revue on Broadway in 1959.

About Glenn Rosenblum

Glenn has been seen at the CV Rep in Ballroom, Chess, Glenn Rosenblum is the Musical Man and his Broadway Showstopper series with Teri Ralston, Ilene Graff and Karen Morrow.  The Broadway Showstopper series was originally created for the large virtual audience during the pandemic in CV Rep’s successful Theatre Thursday Series.

Broadway World dubbed him “The New Prince of Cabaret” in his show Glenn Rosenblum is The Musical Man at Rockwell Table and Stage-LA

New York credits include Off-Broadway: Lucky Lucy with Blythe Danner, Rise of David Levinsky. In the Los Angeles Area, The Pajama Game, Promises, Promises, Sugar, Mame, Zorba, Minnie’s Boys and most recently Grey Gardens, all with Musical Theatre Guild at the Alex Theatre (www.musicaltheatreguild.com ) and Man of La Mancha with Ken Howard/Marilyn McCoo at the Pasadena Civic. Regional roles include  Guys and Dolls, Cabaret and Little Shop of Horrors.

He has been seen on Television in Bones, Miami Vice and in an Old Navy Commercial with Kristin Chenoweth.

He has lectured extensively about Broadway for Crystal Cruises, CV REP Conservatory and David Green’s Musical Theatre University. He has a BA in THEATRE from UCLA.

JACKIE JOSEPH   was born in Los Angeles, California. She began her career in the Billy Barnes Revue in Los Angeles and on Broadway where she co-starred with her future husband Ken Berry. She and Mr. Berry made frequent appearances on Television and the Stage throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s.   

Jackie’s other stage credits include productions of Follies, Oklahoma! and No, No, Nanette.

Her iconic performance as Audrey  in the original black and white film, The Little Shop of Horrors directed by Roger Corman remains a classic to this day. Other TV and film appearances include Gremlins 1 and 2, voice of Melody in the animated television series Josie and the Pussycats and Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space,  Police Academy 2 and 4,  With Six You Get Eggroll, The Dick Van Dyke Show, That Girl, F Troop, CHiPs, Full House, Designing Women and Modern Family.   She was a regular on The Doris Day Show portraying Doris' friend, Jackie Parker and also famously played the love interest of Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show.   

 In recent years Jackie has been heavily involved with the Screen Actors Guild, as well as organizations providing care for stray animals, which include Actors and Others for Animals and her work with longtime dear friend Doris Day and the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

Jackie Joseph-Lawrence is married to Producer and Writer, David Lawrence.

Glenn Rosenblum uses the stage to share music and his extensive knowledge of musical theatre to tell his own story through song and funny stories . He's been called a cross between Nathan Lane and Ethel Merman .... Funny , so likeable , and he can belt a song . Celebrating the music from Peter Pan, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Funny Girl, Zorba, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd and more!

The Musicals of the 70s with Guest Star Karen Morrow

Tonight, Glenn Rosenblum along with Karen Morrow unearth the hidden gems of Broadway Musicals of the 60s. Big hits but also some lesser-known shows, each filled with memorable songs by Musical Theatre’s best. Karen is a beloved stage and television personality who is known for her shows with Richard Rodgers, Frank Loesser, Alan Jay Lerner and Jerry Herman. In 1964 she first stepped onto the Broadway stage in I Had A Ball costarring with Buddy Hackett and Richard Kiley, one of the many forgotten but loved musicals.

Glenn with Ilene Graff will show you what fun Broadway Musicals were in the Swinging Seventies. Ilene’s Broadway credits include 3 of that decade’s biggest hits Promises, Promises, Grease and I Love My Wife but she is best known to audiences as Marsha Owens on the long-running ABC comedy Mr. Belvedere. With Ben Lanzarone on the piano.

Glenn is joined by Teri Ralston who made her Broadway debut In 1970 as part of the original Broadway cast of Company beginning a long and fruitful relationship with Stephen Sondheim. Together in story and song they will discuss all things Sondheim. And don’t worry there will be Comedy Tonight! With David Andrews Rogers on the piano.
